Two tools for starting the New Year well!
This is just a quick post mentioning two tools that can help you plan for the New Year. For me it’s a special time of year akin to my birthday where I re-evaluate my goals and assess where I am at. The New Year is a chance for a fresh start and the idea of aiming for better is something I love doing because of the positivity and hope it can bring!
Here are the two tool I found:
I’ve been reading the blog A Life of Productivity for the past couple of months and found tons of the articles useful. This guide seems like a great place to start with it being more thorough than just picking a resolution out of thin air!
The guide is available to read online or as digital copy (Kindle or iOS) also both are free!
This guide takes a retrospective look at the past year, providing closure before moving on and thinking about the New Year. I like the site’s tagline that reads “Close 2014. Plan 2015.” the concept of this booklet seems so simple. The guide is split in two (past and new) so If you are reading this in January, not to worry the planning stage should take place on January 10th.
The guide is available in PDF format in two sizes (A4 & A5) and again is free!
I just want to say big kudos to the people who have made both of these tools and give them away!!
Hope these are useful, if you’d rather something a bit more instant try sitting down where you are now and spend 5 – 10 minutes wrapping up 2014 with an accomplishment list or maybe write out your top 5 takeaways (not the food) / lessons learnt from 2014.
You only really get the opportunity and time to reflect on this type stuff a couple of times in a year so make the most of it. From me have a wonderful New Year, and I’ll see you in 2015!!
