Following on from last week’s TED Tuesday post, I mentioned that I had jumped into the world of home roasting.

After watching the video I was sold and started my research. I ended up getting a ‘Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker’ which so happens to make a great coffee roasting drum. Additionally, it can make some excellent popcorn!popcorn-maker_300 +back 2

A cheaper alternative to a stove-top popcorn maker comes in the form of your standard pan or wok, although it is said to be hard to master and produce a less even roast.

One of my favourite blogs is called Uncrate, the site is a collection of ‘Gear for guys’ I’m not too sure if it’s good for me (or my wallet) as I end up wishing I owned a lot of stuff they post.
